A Note From The Director
From the liner notes:
Following
our first album, Rekindling the Dream, our musical fire
is burning strongly as we begin this new century. In Reclaiming
Independence, our new album, we feel we are making even better
music than when we began forty-five years ago in Philadelphia.
Gathering to perform together across the country, in spite of
our respective professional careers, has brought us closer together,
with an increasing fire of feeling of commitment, warmth of
community and joy of rediscovery. Musically, we share the same
values - that music should be lyrical and listenable, energetic
and exciting. It should free us, and allow us all to feel
wonderful!
As we have
growm personally, with increased wisdom and maturity, we are
also more comfortable with ourselves and with each other, onstage
and off. Through experiencing the eclectic passages of life,
music and friendships have become even more important to us.
Because of that growth, we as a band are also better able to
feature group members individually expressing their own artistic
independence, tempered with mutual musical support and encouragement.
In turn, we hope our music will help you discover the sense
of independence within your own soul.
Sincerely,
Dr. Rick Lundquist
Director
